What we collect, and what we do not

Most of this site collects nothing at all. Where it does — the consultation form, and the RFP analyser — this page says exactly what is taken, where it goes, and how long it stays.

Reading the site

Reading articles requires no account and sets no advertising or analytics cookies. We do not use tracking pixels, and we do not sell or share personal data with advertisers.

Our web server keeps ordinary access logs — the requested address, the time, your IP address and your browser's user-agent string. These exist to keep the site running and to spot abuse. They are kept for a short period and are not used to build a profile of you.

The consultation form

If you submit the form on the consultations page, we receive the name, email address, company, market, service and message you typed.

That enquiry is emailed to us so we can reply. It is not written to a database and it is not added to a marketing list. We use it to answer you and to carry out any work you go on to engage us for.

Delivering that email involves a mail provider, which processes the message in order to send it — either our host or our email provider, both named below.

The RFP analyser

Self-service upload is not open yet — analyses are currently run on request, from documents you send us. What follows applies whichever way a document reaches us, and describes how the tool behaves when upload does open.

The document and the documents it links to are read in order to produce your report.

  • Documents are not kept. An analysis is held in memory only while it runs and is discarded within thirty minutes. We do not archive uploaded tenders.
  • Document text is sent to Anthropic to produce the written analysis. Anthropic processes it to return a result and does not use it to train models.
  • Linked documents are fetched only from the tender portal the bid came from — the analyser will not follow a link to anywhere else.

Public tender documents are usually not confidential, but your interest in a particular tender may be. We treat it that way.

Accounts

The site does not currently offer accounts. When it does, this page will be updated before sign-up opens to say what a profile holds and how long it is kept. Authentication will be handled by Supabase, which stores the account record and sets a session cookie in your browser.

Who else handles your data

We keep this list short deliberately. Each of these is a processor acting on our instructions:

  • Hostinger — hosting, server logs, and delivery of consultation enquiries.
  • Resend — delivery of consultation enquiries.
  • Anthropic — the written analysis in an RFP report.
  • Supabase — the database, hosted in the European Union.

Some of these operate outside India, so your data may be processed abroad. We use established providers with their own data-protection commitments.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to erase it, and complain if you think we have handled it badly.

Write to hello@thetenderbrief.com and we will respond within thirty days. You have the right to escalate a complaint to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

This site is for businesses selling to government buyers. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If what we collect changes, this page changes first, and the date at the top moves. We will not quietly start collecting something this page says we do not.
